Dr. Brian Proffitt, DVM

Full Biography:

Dr. Brian Proffitt is a dedicated veterinarian and owner of Goshen Animal Clinic, committed to providing high-quality care for pets and exceptional service for their families. Born and raised in Kentucky, Dr. Proffitt began his academic journey at the University of Kentucky before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, he returned to the area to establish his veterinary career.

In 1998, Dr. Proffitt partnered with Dr. Karen Hagan to purchase Goshen Animal Clinic, eventually becoming the full owner in 2019. Under his leadership, the clinic continues its long-standing tradition of compassionate care, combining modern medical advancements with a personalized approach that treats every patient as a valued member of the family.

Dr. Proffitt has pursued advanced training in veterinary orthopedics and ultrasound, allowing him to offer specialized and progressive care for pets with a wide range of medical needs. In addition, he contributes as a content reviewer at Catspo, ensuring that pet health information shared online is accurate, reliable, and easy for owners to understand.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Proffitt is a devoted husband, father, and active community member. He enjoys spending time with his Weimaraner, Shelby, and has personal experience caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, and species. Dr. Proffitt’s combination of expertise, compassion, and dedication to both his patients and educational content makes him a trusted and respected veterinarian in the area.
